MINISTRY TEAMS

Children's Ministry serves children in three distinct groups: Crawlville (ages birth-23 months); Jr. Junction (age 2-Kindergarten); and KidTown (grades 1-6). The time commitment ranges from child care during Worship Service to an additional few extra hours of preparation time and team meetings for teaching and leadership positions. If you care about kids and love to help them unfold their potential, please contact Deb Vanderwell, debvwell@yahoo.com, (916) 419-1392 for more information.

Youth Ministry serves youth in middle school and high school. At this age kids are growing up, facing many challenges and choices, and need caring adults in their lives. The time commitment for small group leaders averages once or twice a month during Worship Service along with additional preparation time. Mentors officially meet monthly to provide guidance and a listening ear and then follow up with a weekly phone call or e-mail. Leaders also attend some of the youth group activities such as movie nights, service projects, and other fun activities. If you have a heart for youth and the challenges they face, please contact Deb Vanderwell, debvwell@yahoo.com, (916) 419-1392 for more information on specific positions available.

Outreach Team helps the congregation reach beyond itself by bringing and serving others as we are transformed by God. If you have a passion for sharing your faith and service, please contact Ron Vanderwell, ron@gatheringchurch.org, (916) 419-1392 for more information.

Production Team is actively involved in a variety of positions including setup, teardown, signs, and banners. The time commitment varies from a few minutes to a couple of hours a month. If you feel satisfaction from being involved in the hands-on, behind-the-scenes activities needed for ministry to happen, please contact Jeany Plooy, jeanyplooy@comcast.net, (916) 568-9535 for a more complete description of the roles available.

Stewardship Team helps both the congregation and its individual members to wisely steward the resources that God gives us. If you have a passion for prayerful management, please contact Ron Vanderwell, ron@gatheringchurch.org, (916) 419-1392 for more information.

Worship Team is composed of experienced musicians, vocalists, and actors who have a calling to use their gifts for worship. The time commitment varies based on rehearsal schedule and how often someone participates in a service. If you love worshiping and have musical gifts that could flourish with skilled coaching, please contact Jeff Galindo, jklrgalindo@sbcglobal.net, (916) 502-6445 for more information.
