Children's Ministry
Kids are important people here at The Gathering.
They need to have a chance to learn and grow in their own ways, yet we
also want them to be able to share worship and relationships with
Christian adults besides their parents.
Our mission is to create a welcoming, supportive environment
where kids and their friends can have fun as they are transformed by
God.
Crawlville (ages birth-23 months) and Jr. Junction (age 2-Kindergarten) provide safe environments for young children to be cared for and begin to learn while their parents worship. Activities for the older children involve Bible stories, playtime with toys, art, music, video segments, prayer, snack, circle time, and games.
KidTown (grades 1-6) participants are invited to join everyone else for the opening worship before they go to experience their own unique ministry in another theater just down the hall. Using a refreshing combination of video, activities, and personalized teaching, kids have the chance to discover the ancient truths of the gospel in a fresh new way.
Middle School Ministry (grades 7-9) participants grow in their faith through Bible studies and small group activities. Students also serve in a variety of ways during worship service on a monthly basis. Frequent youth group activities include movie nights, service projects, and other fun events.
Teaching resources include Kidmo,
an interactive multimedia curriculum that introduces children to the Bible, and
The Hands on Bible Curriculum. |
